Madonna is a huge star. She rocketed to stardom so quickly that it obscured most of her musical virtues. Madonna is the quintessential celebrity, famous for her fame, and her prominence in the media, so that her actual exploits in the worlds of music and cinema are of secondary importance. She really was a pioneer - not in her musical style, or her fashions, but in her ability to attract the attention of a culture.

The Rodrigez affair...

Rodriguez, 32, who plays for the New York Yankees, was reported to have made late-night visits to Madonna's New York apartment. Rodriguez was in Miami, not NY so unless Madonna was in Miami as well, it would then involve a 3 hour flight plus travel time to and from airport. He never would have had time to be "leaving as late as midnight" as the doormen is claiming.

No disrespect to Madonna, but why in the world would Rodriguez, who’s 32 and could cheat with any number of girls if he so chose, be interested in a 50 year old women? And does anyone really believe such an affair would be conducted in Madonna’s apartment while three children are there? Madonna now admitted it was to sell tickets and merchandise. Believing there is a blatant romantic relationship between Madge and A-Rod with all the evidence is just silly at this point!
